While still ravaging many corners of the world and disrupting health systems, economies, education and communities, the Covid-19 global pandemic is also offering lessons for how our digital health system is working or not. The pandemic generated an overwhelming number of wonderful new digital tools, data platforms, collaborations and other innovations, but also revealed the incoherency, inconsistency and inaccessibility of many of them. From the perspective as co-chair of the WHO’s Digital Health Technical Advisory Group and as an advisor to many of the leading organizations in digital health, Steve Davis will highlight some of the early lessons from the Covid-19 “digital pandemic” and opportunities for moving forward with more impact.
